Bevan is a graduate of the Queensland University of Technology with degrees in both Law (LLB) and Business Computing (B.Bus). He is admitted to practice law in the Supreme Court of Queensland.

Early in his career, Bevan practiced as a lawyer at a mid-sized Australian law firm, specialising mostly in Litigation. With a background in technology, he developed a keen interest in “Information Management”  and how it could be used to improve the way law was practiced, and improve the business of law.  After 5 years of practicing, Bevan moved to the UK and specialised in legal workflow and case management systems.  He worked as a consultant and project manager with dozens of law firms and in-house legal groups throughout the UK.

In  2003, Bevan founded a legal technology business in Australia, specialising in workflow and automation. He continued his involvement in many projects for some of Australia’s largest legal practices and corporations. The business was eventually acquired by a global enterprise, LexisNexis and Bevan moved into a senior management role within the organisation.

In recent years Bevan has had consulting roles on numerous large-scale technology projects within Australia. He brings to Ferguson Cannon a wealth of experience in using technology for continual “Business Improvement” by the better use of information and automation.  

Bevan is married with four children. His other loves in life are Rugby Union and Cricket, and he retains an active involvement in both sports.
